| I wanted to D but I couldn't wait any longer for my carrier to start selling them. The Galaxy 3 is a bad ass. It beats the iphone's ass which is why apple is worried. |

| So are you using this phone in Australia?
If so how did you go about configuring the SIM? |

| The SIM is soldered to the main boad and covered in some kind of thermal plastic to prevent removal without destruction of the phone. I know it's unlocked, but my main concern is getting it configured properly so that it's reconised by the network provider (in this case Optus witha different APN - Internode) and it responds like the current SIM in my aging Milestone. |

| I ran over my galaxy in the driveway and crushed it to pieces. Another one on the way , but not the new 3. One more year of this fucked up contract that does not work half the time here in the middle of nowhere. Your phone looks pretty cool. They keyboard is the best. |

| my carrier doesn't do simm cards. plus I'm in the states. my last phone was the milestone. used the bitch till finally the screen gave out. the photon I'm using now is either faulty or the model itself is fucked. it keeps cycling from wifi to 3g constantly at home. all other wifi devices work fine including my old milestone. getting this one replaced in hopes it's just a bad device. really love everything else about it. |

| 4G Coverage in .au is pretty non-existent. So I really don't care about 3G/4G radio issues. If you're not using a SIM I'm assuming it's [W]CDMA carrier and not a GSM carrier. I'm hoping it's not to big an issue to get the SIM working on the GSM network I subscribe to with my SIM's ID |

| Key thing for me is a physical keyboard. I can stand on screen keyboards ... about as much as I can stand [CR]Apple product6 |

| Same here. Cannot stand touch screen keyboards. I could have waited for galaxy 3 but the physical keyboard of the photon won me over. I'm a little skeptical of after-market keyboards. My wife has one for her apple and it doesn't feel as solid as my built-in one.
Yeah....carrier is cdma. |

| Do you still have a CDMA network, I'm pretty sure ours got shut down after they phased out the analouge network ( not sure if thats how you spell analouge, but I love typing anal) they only kept it around while digital was being rolled out to country areas, whioch I supposed is technically where you live. |
